Home Decor Envy: The Gray Dining Room

What's not to like in this dining room? The gray walls? The huge window? The amazing, non-matching chairs? The modern chandelier? Yes, this is definately a case of bad home decor envy...

Splurge Vs. Steal: The Zebra Pillow Cover

Splurge: Pony Hair Zebra Pillow Cover / Steal: Square Pillow Cover (also available in brown)

And since the zebra print is a safer choices compared to other animal prints, here are two choices for an eye-catching pillow cover that will add a touch of african wilderness to your living room!

How To Do Animal Print

Animal print doesn't belong to exotic-styled spaces only. Choose up to three animal print accessories like pillow covers or even a carpet for your room to achieve a subtle but eye-catching result. Don't forget that the zebra print is a safe(r) choice since the monochromatic stripes work well with many different colours!

You Didn't Know You Needed: The Phantomenal III Lamp

I've always been fascinated by ghost stories; in fact, when I was younger I kept looking for ghost signs all around my house... And if, back then, I had found the Phantomental III Lamp somewhere in the living room I would have been convinced about their existence. The Phantomental defies the laws of physics and appears to be floating in midair. Created by the French design studio Guesner, it gives the illusion that it is being held by some eerie spirit, but in reality, a metal stand that looks like a cord is responsible for its floating appearance! It can be yours for 499 euros from the company's online store! I'm already saving up for the white version!

How To Do: Colour Blocking for Your Home

Source: House to Home

This Victorian end-of-terrace villa in north London is the perfect example of how to implement the latest trend of colour blocking in your home without the guidance of a decorator! The home owners have followed three simple rules for this: they've chosen to keep their walls white, the furniture minimal and to decorate their space using a few modern accessories in two contrasting colour, tomato red and mustard yellow. Colourblocking can be as simple as that!

It's the window of Neville Hair Salon which you can find in the very chic Belgravia, London and can be described as a "mecca to hair, beauty and holistic treatments". Aerin Lauder's Manhattan Offices

posted on: Friday, 11 May 2012

Aerin Lauder, the style and image director of Estee Lauder, is moving beyond the family brand into her own product line, a variety of home and fashion accessories, as well as beauty products. Though her new brand, Aerin, will be launching its first collection in a few weeks, Lauder’s offices are an urbane expression of what the brand's style will be. Her offices in Mahnattan occupy a former eight-room art gallery and will eventually house about a dozen employee. In order to create a chic and beautiful working environment Lauder invited her favorite designer, Jacques Grange, to give to the space "an underlying structure that’s clean and inviting...with colors and fabrics and textures to make it look very personal, warm, and elegant.” The result as you can see from the pages of Architectural Digest magazine is just that!
